It’s weird to review coconut water since there’s not much to it, and it generally tastes all pretty similar. Still, Cocobella is one of the better-known brands in Australia, and to review the regular one is really just a baseline for the more interesting variations that they also sell. Note that all Cocobella 400ml bottles say on the bottle to “keep chilled” so it might be a slightly different recipe from the larger cartons you find in the juice aisle.
Cocobella Straight Up Review
This is a very, very refreshing drink. It’s like water, but slightly sweeter because it’s made from coconut juice. But I say it’s like water as the taste is very subtle. Very, very subtle. But very freshening. I usually buy this in the larger cartons because they’re a better value, but I wanted to get ones that would all match for the photos.
Cocobella Fusions Mango Passion
The flavour of mango and passion fruit is very subtle and tastes like weak cordial. This cordial is a healthier alternative to the original, being low in sugar. Overall, I definitely like it better than cordial. It’s refreshing too. I’m unsure if I prefer it to the plain one, but it’s certainly more interesting. I think the passion fruit is a little stronger than the mango flavour, which seems to work well.
Cocobella Fusions Raspberry Lemon
Again, this tastes like watered-down cordial but is surely healthier. The tastes of raspberry and lemon go very well together, and it’s very difficult to tell which flavour is stronger. As with any coconut water drink, it is super refreshing, especially when served cold.
Overall, I recommend all of these and I’m keen for any other flavours out there that I’ve missed or are coming soon.
